Job summary

Kinsa Group is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead a USDA-inspected meat processing operation in Central Texas. The role demands direct plant-floor leadership, ownership of production, quality, and safety, and the ability to drive profitability through labor, yields, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years meat processing experience in a USDA-inspected facility.
• Strong knowledge of USDA/FSIS requirements, HACCP, food safety and GMPs.
• Ability to lead hands-on in a high-demand production environment.
• Experience supervising 35-40 employees and coordinating cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for harvest, fabrication, processing, cut/wrap, and value-added operations.
• Maintain USDA/FSIS compliance, HACCP plans, SSOPs and GMPs; interface with inspectors.
• Lead and develop a team of 35-40 employees with focus on safety and accountability.
• Manage production scheduling and throughput; balance capacity and staffing.
• Control plant costs including labor, overtime, supplies, shrink, waste, and yields.
• Build relationships with livestock producers and customers on schedules and specs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, audit-ready facility with proper PPE and production practices.
