Job summary

Kinsa is seeking a hands-on Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Manager in Lubbock, TX to lead a skilled FSQ team and drive a culture of food safety excellence.

You will own SQF compliance, coordinate audits, and partner with operations to strengthen HACCP, FSMA, and preventive controls, delivering reliable quality for customers. This role offers visibility across the plant, opportunities to implement CAPA programs, and a focus on continuous improvement to reduce risk and elevate product integrity.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years FSQA experience, including 3+ years as supervisor or manager in a food processing environment.
• SQF-certified facility experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GFSI/SQF programs, food microbiology, and preventive controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Food Safety & Quality team while fostering a strong food safety culture.
• Serve as the SQF Practitioner and maintain compliance with SQF, FDA, HACCP, FSMA, and company standards.
• Drive customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, CAPA programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage internal, supplier, customer, and third-party audits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely resolution of findings.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, pathogen control programs, and quarantine inventory disposition.
• Partner with operations, sanitation, and leadership teams to improve quality performance, reduce risk, and maintain audit readiness.
