Innova Solutions is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer for an onsite Reston, VA role. You will map algorithms to hardware, develop RTL and HLS components, and verify systems on Linux-based SOC boards.

The candidate should have hands-on VHDL experience, strong FPGA/EDA expertise, and a background in high-speed protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, and TCP/IP. Prior aerospace/defense work is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree, and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's Degree plus 2 years of prior relevant experience developing, implementing, and verification of high-performance communications/networking ASIC/FPGA products.
• Prior Aerospace/Defense experience is preferred.
• Experience in C++ (OOP).
• Experience in Xilinx MPSOC design with SDKs, BSPs on bare metal/PetaLinux OS.
• Experience with High level synthesis (Xilinx Vivado HLS, AND/OR Mentor Calypto).
• Experience with Universal Verification Mythology (UVM).
• Experience with project leadership and EVM.

Responsabilités

• Map algorithms and standards to hardware and architecture/design tradeoffs.
• Proficient in VHDL design process and FPGA flow.
• Understand Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols.
• Perform RTL and/or HLS development and RTL quality checks (RDC, CDC, Formal, Lint).
• Create test plans and perform module-level verification, synthesis/STA, and lab debug.
• Bring up silicon/FPGA, characterization, and production ramp support.
