Aerotek in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an entry-level Flooring Installation Technician to assist with installing ceramic, tile, LVP, and other flooring products in residential and commercial settings. You will measure, cut, prep surfaces, and support a small crew to ensure quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of construction experience.
• Experience with flooring installation preferred but not required.
• Ability to measure and cut materials accurately.
• Experience using basic hand tools and flooring tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background, drug and motor vehicle screenings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install flooring materials including tile, LVP, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and carpet tile.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials to project specs.
• Prepare surfaces, level subfloors, and make repairs.
• Support tile projects like backsplashes and shower surrounds.
• Read project layouts and specifications; load and organize materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Work with crews of 2–5 to complete projects on schedule.
