Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to support layout, fabrication, installation and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures and sprinklers. The ideal candidate is coachable, mechanically inclined and eager to learn.

Under the guidance of Sprinkler Technician Journeymen, you will learn to install pipe systems and valves, read blueprints, calculate material measurements and assist in meeting project schedules while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to enroll and obtain current Fire Sprinkler License.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude and the ability to multitask are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sprinkler Technicians in installing and maintaining piping systems, valves, and fixtures.
• Learn to read blueprints and calculate material measurements.
• Modify, clean and replace worn components.
• Follow installation techniques and meet project schedules.
• Other duties may be assigned.
