Job summary

Forsman Farms Inc in Minnesota is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to help maintain farm equipment and facilities. This hands-on role supports daily operations by performing routine maintenance, operating equipment, and keeping barns running safely and efficiently.

You will inspect systems, assist with repairs, follow safety procedures, and work with livestock in a physically active environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team.
• Able to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Comfortable working in a physically active farm environment around livestock.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• Previous maintenance, farm, or equipment experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on farm equipment and barn systems
• Inspect and maintain feed, egg collection, and conveyor systems
• Operate and monitor manure handling equipment
• Assist with basic repairs and preventative maintenance
• Help maintain ventilation, water, lighting, and other barn equipment
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment (training provided as needed)
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns
• Complete maintenance records and follow safety, lockout/tagout, and biosecurity procedures
• Perform other general maintenance and farm duties as assigned
