Job summary

You will support production schedules, assist drivers, and help ensure safe, clean facilities in a governed food production environment. The role involves preventive maintenance, some fabrication work, and following safety and sanitation rules to protect product quality and personnel safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract two-digit numbers).
• Ability to work with troubleshooting and problem-solving in a manual setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive work atmosphere by getting along with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
• Work on scheduled days as directed according to production scheduling or voluntary time.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on manure removal equipment and cages as needed.
• Assist drivers and House People with maintenance issues as directed.
• May install new manure removal systems, including fabrication tasks and use of welders.
• Move and relocate birds in cages for repairs while observing density guidelines.
• Repair and replace manure belts using sonic welder or bonding methods as directed.
• Regularly clean manure belts, pits, and sheds to prevent buildup.
• Repair flooring and guardrails around manure handling equipment to meet safety standards.
• Use lock out/tag out devices to ensure safety during maintenance.
• Adhere to GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and report any conditions affecting food safety or quality.
• Minimize loss and maximize egg quality within scope of position.
• Perform House Person duties as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
