Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure mechanical systems and equipment operate reliably and that common areas are clean, disinfected, and aesthetically appealing.

Responsibilities include inspecting floors and roofs, performing minor carpentry, electrical, HVAC and painting tasks, completing work orders, and adhering to safety procedures; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors including roof checking for problems and lights out and reports back to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Perform minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting and other building repairs.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe environment.
