Job summary

The Montessori School of Raleigh seeks a Facilities Support Specialist to join our Facilities team. This hands-on role covers routine maintenance, repairs, event setup, and vendor coordination to keep campuses safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Located on our Raleigh campuses, this full-time, in-person position features a Monday–Friday schedule, with early morning start times and some after-hours support during events or weather emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience with building trades and facility systems (fire and life safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to safely operate hand/power tools, ladders, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Facilities to complete work tickets, maintenance, repair, and janitorial requests promptly; update status with staff.
• Support preventative maintenance and plant renewal/replacement initiatives.
• Maintain safe, clean facilities and grounds; assist with event setup and vendor coordination.
• Provide access for vendors and service personnel; monitor two-way radio and respond to transmissions.
