Job summary

L&L Metal Fabrication is seeking a hands-on Equipment & Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, organization, and readiness of shop equipment, vehicles, trailers, and facilities. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, prioritizing tasks, and supervising maintenance staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with industrial equipment, machinery, vehicles, or related systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to supervise employees, delegate responsibilities, and ensure task completion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and maintenance records.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and readiness of shop and field equipment (welders, generators, saws, drills, grinders, vacuums, etc).
• Oversee maintenance and condition of company trucks, vehicles, and trailers; coordinate inspections and service.
• Manage tool room operations and instrument check-in/check-out procedures; maintain inventory.
• Maintain organized storage areas and coordinate material staging for projects.
• Oversee shop facilities maintenance; coordinate outside contractors as needed.
• Supervise maintenance and tool room personnel; assign daily tasks and priorities.
• Promote safety and accountability; maintain inspection/maintenance records and address recurring issues.
