Job summary

BBSI Staffing is seeking an EMI/EMC Test Engineer for a Glendale, CA area role in an accredited testing laboratory. You will independently execute MIL-STD-461 tests, troubleshoot complex setups, and represent technical work during audits and accreditation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of EMI/EMC testing experience, familiarity with EMI instrumentation and shielded/anechoic chambers, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on EMI/EMC testing experience, including MIL-STD-461 testing.
• Experience with shielded or anechoic test chambers and EMI instrumentation.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and documentation.
• Ability to independently manage testing, troubleshoot issues, and defend findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIL-STD-461 conducted and radiated testing.
• Design and validate EMI/EMC test configurations and setups.
• Execute testing to MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, and related standards.
• Troubleshoot failures, ensure measurement accuracy, guide customers.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and technical reports.
• Support ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with Quality Management to resolve findings and improve testing.
