Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber-Physical Systems Reverse Engineer to support a maritime cybersecurity project. You will work hands-on with real embedded systems, analyzing hardware, firmware, interfaces, and communications to reverse engineer and emulate devices.

You will design experiments, build test environments, and develop production-quality C/C++ and Python code to automate testing, instrumentation, and analysis, uncovering unexpected behaviors or bugs.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for real-time systems
• Experience with SPI/I2C/UART/CAN/USB/Ethernet or wireless interfaces
• Experience building test harnesses and automation for embedded systems
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
• Experience with embedded debugging tools (JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug embedded firmware for real-time systems and drivers
• Design simulation, emulation, and automated test environments
• Analyze and reverse engineer embedded devices and protocols
• Develop production-quality C/C++ and Python software for testing and analysis
• Conduct hands-on lab testing and document findings
