Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber-Physical Systems Reverse Engineer to support a maritime cybersecurity project. You will work hands-on with embedded systems, analyzing hardware, firmware, and interfaces, and reverse engineer devices to expose unexpected behaviors.

In a lab environment, you will design experiments, develop automated test environments, and write production-quality C/C++ and Python code to automate testing and analysis of real systems.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++, RTOS concepts, interrupts, concurrency
• Experience with embedded hardware and common interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
• Experience developing simulation, emulation, automated testing, or hardware/software test harnesses
• Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages for automation, testing, and tooling
• Experience using embedded debugging equipment such as JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or related instruments

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug embedded firmware for real-time systems and drivers
• Design and implement simulation, emulation, and automated test environments for embedded systems
• Analyze and reverse engineer embedded devices, firmware, and protocols to understand behavior
• Develop production-quality C/C++ and Python software to automate testing and analysis
• Conduct hands-on lab testing using debugging tools and instrumentation; document findings
