Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Engineer/Technician to support electrical and mechanical testing in our engineering laboratory. You will assemble electronic hardware, operate test equipment, build fixtures and cables, collect test data, troubleshoot, and document procedures.

The ideal candidate has experience with electronic assembly, PCBs, test equipment, and basic circuit construction, with a rate of $60–$65/hour and a 12+ month duration. This is an onsite role in New York.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Electronics or related field.
• Hands-on experience with electronic assembly and lab testing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory equipment according to established test procedures.
• Collect, document, and report test data and observations.
• Assemble electronic hardware, electrical boxes, test fixtures, and simple circuits.
• Build and troubleshoot circuits using relays, switches, and contactors.
• Fabricate custom cables, cable assemblies, and wiring harnesses.
• Set up and use oscilloscopes, probes, power analyzers, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Support testing involving high-voltage power supplies, rotating machinery, and cooling systems.
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
