Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Fairport, NY for a contract-to-hire role focused on testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PCB assemblies and electro-mechanical products. Candidates should have 2+ years in PCB assembly and repair, the ability to read schematics, and relevant electronics education or certification.

Qualifications

Associates degree or technical certification in electronics/mechatronics/electro-mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
2+ years of PCB assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and electronic product repair experience.
Hands-on PCB soldering experience, SMT and through-hole, rework and repair.
Ability to read/interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

Test, troubleshoot, and repair PCB assemblies and electro-mechanical products.
Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, rework, and assembly tasks.
Maintain high-quality standards and 100% production accuracy.
Support prototype testing and product validation activities.
Monitor inventory, document processes, and ensure tools/equipment operate properly.
Train production technicians on procedures and identify process-improvement opportunities.
