Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking an Engineering Intern to work with the engineering team on production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in an electronics manufacturing environment in Grand Rapids, MI.

The role involves assisting in process improvements, tooling, testing, and collaboration with purchasing, quality, and production teams to maintain product integrity.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program.
• Junior or Senior level, preferred; Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist development, improvement and revision of manufacturing processes.
• Assist design and implementation of tooling and fixtures for efficient manufacturing.
• Analyze failures and troubleshoot to improve test yields.
• Support purchasing, quality, test and production to ensure product integrity.
• Support cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment.
• Create and update work instructions.
• Support SOW development for equipment implementation and validation.
