Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern in Grand Rapids, MI. The role runs 20 hours per week from January through April, supporting the Quality Department to ensure customer requirements are planned and implemented during purchasing, inspection, and product launches.

The intern will assist with process and product improvements, create quality plans, review qualification reports, and help establish PFMEAs.

• Working toward Bachelor’s in Science Engineering or related Quality field.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Engineers with process and product improvement opportunities.
• Provide administrative support to the Quality Department.
• Create Receiving Work Instructions for incoming product.
• Develop quality plans cascading customer requirements to manufacturing and suppliers.
• Review FPI, FAI, Delta FPI/Delta FAI and qualification reports; assist with reporting.
• Develop PFMEAs and COPQ analyses for improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

This position is expected to work 20 hours/week, running 1/11 through 4/23

The Quality Engineer Intern role is an opportunity for an engineering student to become familiar and gain real world experience with key aspects of a quality professional.The role will support the Quality Department to ensure customer requirements are planned and implemented during the purchasing, inspection, and launching of products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists Quality Engineers with identifying opportunities for making improvements to processes and products.
• Provides administrative assistance to Quality Engineers and other Quality Department team members.
• Creates Receiving Work Instructions for incoming product
• Create quality plans to cascade customer requirement down to manufacturing process and supplier
• Reviews FPI, FAI, Delta FPI, Delta FAI and Qualification reports. Occasionally assists Quality Engineers by creating reports.
• Establish PFMEAs
• COPQ analysis and improvement project
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Requirements
