Job summary

Jo-Kell in Pompano Beach seeks an Electrical Panel Technician Intern to join our panel shop. This hands-on internship is designed for students or early-career individuals in electrical tech and related fields.

You will assist with assembly and wiring of custom panels, read schematics, perform wiring, testing, and quality checks, and learn from engineering and production teams. Schedule is weekdays; pay is $18/hour; duration 4–12 weeks with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed technical education in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field
• Basic understanding of electrical principles
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and hands-on interest
• Interest in reading schematics and technical drawings
• Comfort using common hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and wiring of custom electrical control panels
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings
• Perform point-to-point wiring, component installation, and terminations with guidance
• Assist with panel layout, assembly, testing, and quality inspections
• Develop basic troubleshooting skills for wiring and assembly issues
