Job summary

GlobTek, Inc. in Northvale, NJ is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to support new product development. You will build, modify and repair prototypes of AC-DC power supplies and battery packs, turning design ideas into working hardware.

This role suits someone hands-on, detail-minded and capable of working independently, with responsibilities spanning schematics interpretation, testing, and documentation to keep projects moving.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering; a BSEE is a plus.
• 3+ years in engineering, production or manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of analog and digital signals and of analog power supplies.
• Fine hand skills, including SMD soldering and basic sheet metal work.
• Familiarity with Altium, PADS, KiCad or similar tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and project management skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Part-time applicants are considered.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify and repair prototype AC-DC power supplies and battery packs for new products.
• Modify existing products to meet customer requirements.
• Read schematics and PCB drawings to implement changes and try out new ideas.
• Test prototypes to company specifications and industry standards using oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analyzers.
• Work with the design engineers to solve unusual problems and keep projects moving.
• Coordinate small projects and keep the work documented.
