Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a hands-on In-Shop Technician to rewind and service electromechanical equipment in our shop. You’ll inspect windings, prepare parts, and document data to support reliable operation.

The role involves testing rewound equipment, reading instructions, and following safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities for growth and career longevity are emphasized at IPS.

Qualifications

• Experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple to moderately complex written instructions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and core shop practices.
• Ability to perform basic math including fractions.
• Experience operating shop equipment and hoists.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle and strip damaged equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical faults.
• Document data on winding characteristics and operating conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts and inspect for hidden damage.
• Test rewound equipment per standards and record results.
