Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center who blends hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will drive end-to-end delivery across planning, design, development, testing, and production support while mentoring engineers and coordinating with stakeholders.

You will guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern UI frameworks, while leveraging cloud platforms and CI/CD to ensure secure, reliable enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience leading delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React for full-stack guidance.
• Experience deploying on a major cloud platform.
• Proficient in CI/CD, source control, and containerized deployments.
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery practice and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to mentor distributed teams and manage client communications.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and observability (Splunk).
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Flink for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands‑on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and complex engineering issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; communicate progress.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event‑driven and data‑processing solutions when required.
