Job summary

Schwab Advisor Services, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., is seeking a hands-on Manager, Data Engineering to build reliable, scalable data pipelines and data marts that empower analytics and decision making.

You will partner with business and technical teams to define metric logic, ensure data quality, and support production reliability while advancing a future-state data platform that improves client-centricity, speed, and scale across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Expertise in ETL/ELT development with data quality and testing.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, mart design, and star schemas.
• Experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
• Business analysis to translate requirements into data mappings and metrics.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle, governance, and metadata management.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders across teams.
• Proficiency with GitHub, JIRA, and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and data marts.
• Define metric logic and data definitions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Maintain data quality, lineage, and monitoring for reliability.
• Provide production support and operational improvements for data assets.
• Partner with product owners and engineers to plan features and stories.
