Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment, driving reliability at scale.

You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, respond to incidents, support PM and root-cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors on site. Shifts may reach 12 hours and rotations; travel between TX sites is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical and mechanical systems and record conditions.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs and assist in problem resolution.
• Support PM, repair, and root-cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors and on-site teams to ensure safety and compliance.
