Job summary

Lemonaid Health in Los Angeles seeks a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting, own the general ledger, and drive the integrity of financial reporting as the company scales. You will work closely with the CFO and leaders to ensure accurate, timely, and well-controlled records.

This role includes ownership of the close process, reconciliations, cash management, payroll and benefits accounting, and the development of scalable accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of monthly close
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger and ensure income statement and balance sheet integrity
• Direct accounts payable including vendor setup, approvals, and weekly payments
• Manage cash activity and provide visibility into balances and working capital needs
• Lead inventory accounting for raw materials and finished goods
• Partner with leadership on reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Develop and improve accounting policies, controls, and close documentation
• Support audit, tax, and compliance activities as needed
