  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity and accuracy of both the income statement and balance sheet
  • Directly manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor setup, approvals, and weekly payment runs
  • Manage cash activity and support visibility into cash balances, upcoming obligations, and working capital needs
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to identify accruals, commitments, and other period-end accounting requirements
  • Own accounting for inventory and cost of goods sold, including raw materials and finished goods
  • Partner with Finance on reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and other financial analysis
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, close documentation, internal controls, and operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting processes
  • Support audit, tax, and other accounting and compliance requirements as needed
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant ownership of the monthly close and general ledger
  • Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar hands-on accounting leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience managing both income statement and balance sheet accounting
  • Demonstrated experience with accruals, prepaids, payroll and benefits accounting, accounts payable, cash, and account reconciliations
  • Experience with inventory and cost of goods accounting, including raw materials and finished goods, strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work effectively with large and complex data sets
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to identify issues, understand financial impacts, and communicate key takeaways clearly to executive leadership
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience with systems such as QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling, Stripe, or AWS QuickSight is helpful but not required
