Job summary

New Tech Machinery seeks a hands-on Controller to own the accounting function at the plant level. This is a working role, not purely supervisory, including close, cash, inventory and standard cost integrity, and compliance.

The Controller reports to the VP and CFO on policy, close calendar, and internal control. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong standard cost experience, and ERP proficiency, with the ability to communicate financial results to non-financial

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with standard cost accounting is required.
• Proven owner of a monthly close cycle in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close for NTM, delivering complete and accurate results.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce monthly financial statements and operating reports with variance commentary.
• Explain results to operations leadership and flag issues before P&L impact.
• Lead tax, compliance, and licensing responsibilities across jurisdictions.
