Job summary

RPL International in Miami seeks a hands-on Controller to lead daily accounting operations and deliver timely financial reporting. You will oversee the general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll and cash management while guiding the accounting team.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and a strong command of the full accounting cycle, month-end close, audits and GAAP. You will partner with leadership on budgets, forecasts, cash flow and variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle.
• Hands-on month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and take ownership of the accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll and cash management
• Manage and execute the monthly and year-end close process
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP
• Manage the audit and tax preparation process, working with external CPA firms as needed
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
• Analyze financial results and provide insight into variances and trends
• Oversee and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Work closely with company leadership on financial reporting and accounting matters
• Supervise and provide guidance to staff
• Handle special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed
