Job summary

MasTec, Inc. in Texas is offering an apprenticeship program designed to teach core construction skills under the supervision of a journeyman.

Apprentices will learn safety, basic math, hand and power tools, site routines, and introductory construction drawings, with opportunities to specialize in Industrial, Wind, or Solar construction. Participants will attend formal training, complete on-the-job training, keep logs, and pass tests and evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 to 4,000 on-the job Training hours.
• Experience using basic power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit an enthusiasm to learn.
• Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training.
• Keep log of on-the-job training activities.
• Complete all tests, presentations, and other required evaluations.
• Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Learn and perform general tasks involving physical labor; operate tools and equipment.
