Job summary

Wells in Monroeville, AL is seeking a Batch Plant Supervisor to oversee accurate batching, quality control, and efficient concrete production. You will coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance to keep daily operations running smoothly and safely.

This hands-on role requires leadership, a focus on safety, and the ability to train staff, drive continuous improvement, and troubleshoot batch plant issues to maximize output.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Interpersonal communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
• General math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Self-motivated and task-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work with Production and Quality Control to ensure accurate batching and record keeping.
• Operates forklifts, trucks, front-end loader, crane-ways and batching equipment.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance with Maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for delivery of aggregates, dyes, and admixtures.
• Record and carry out all safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Continuously improve the batching process.
• Take initiative to maximize batch plant production and troubleshoot issues.
• Batch concrete as needed for each job.
• Use math to calculate mix designs and aggregate totals.
• Daily cleaning and inspection of strand vices and mixer area.
