Job summary

NOV in Conroe seeks a hands-on CNC Programmer to drive optimization in a high-volume, precision manufacturing environment. You will translate Engineering drawings into efficient machining processes, program & modify CNC code, and troubleshoot on the shop floor with machinists and engineers.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience, deep knowledge of tooling, speeds & feeds, workholding, GD&T, and the ability to improve cycle times and tool life while

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, speeds and feeds, workholding, setup, and machining sequences.
• Experience developing, modifying, proving out, and optimizing CNC programs for production.
• Experience with multi-axis lathe and/or machining centers.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CNC programs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Select cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and on-machine problems.
• Optimize programs to reduce cycle time and improve tool life.
• Work on the manufacturing floor with machinists and engineers to improve productivity.
