Job summary

gpac is seeking a hands-on 1st Shift CNC Machining Supervisor to lead our first-shift machining operation. This role directs daily production, develops machinists, maintains quality, and drives safety, productivity, and efficiency goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, be capable of leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience in a machining environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with CNC setup, tooling, offsets, inspection, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise first-shift CNC machining operations and personnel.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor production performance, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and CNC programs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to CNC machinists and operators.
• Work closely with programming, engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams.
• Ensure machines are properly set up and operating within established standards.
• Assist with tooling selection, setup, offsets, feeds, speeds, and process improvements.
• Train, coach, and develop machinists and machine operators.
• Establish accountability for attendance, productivity, quality, and safe work practices.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous-improvement opportunities.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, production records, and quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Support preventive maintenance and communicate equipment issues to maintenance.
• Help establish and maintain standardized work instructions and operating procedures.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
