NY Creates in Albany, NY is seeking a hands-on Cleanroom Operations Manager to oversee daily cleanroom activities, supervise a skilled team, and develop operational procedures for the Center for Semiconductor Research. The role focuses on mentoring staff, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a productive cleanroom environment.

You will collaborate with partners and clients, conduct performance reviews, and balance technical leadership with on-site supervision.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent experience in Management, Education, or Physical, Chemical, or Biological sciences from a college or university.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; annual background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of Cleanroom Operations personnel.
• Establishes procedures and protocol to ensure efficient operation of the Center for Semiconductor Research.
• Work closely with partners, NY Creates, and client personnel to provide a productive work environment.
• Conducts performance reviews, mentors, disciplines, and helps develop a highly efficient workforce.
• A significant portion of the work shift will be spent in the Cleanroom; direct hands-on supervision.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
