Job summary

Tallgrass in Houston, TX is offering a Summer 2027 internship in the Capital Project Assurance department. The intern will support the Capital Project Assurance Director in day-to-day activities overseeing large capital projects, including engineering review, data analytics, and reporting.

This temporary, full-time internship runs May–August for 10 weeks, with paid compensation ranging from $26.18 to $37.09 per hour, housing stipend options, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an approved bachelor’s or master’s Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering program with expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2028.
• Microsoft Office at expert level.
• Excellent math skills.

Responsibilities

• Support defining project execution strategies, reviewing project data and analytics, and developing tools related to detailed design and project execution.
• Review and audit third-party engineering deliverables and project management activities.
• Assist in preparation of project assurance reports and ad hoc tasks for the project team.
