Tallgrass is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Public Affairs/Communications at our Lakewood or Houston offices. The role supports content creation for public engagements, outreach, and media monitoring, with a focus on safety and professional collaboration.

Applicants are actively enrolled in a bachelor’s program in business, public affairs, or communications with graduation dates between December 2026 and May 2028.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with expected graduation Dec 2026–May 2028.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of people with tact and professionalism.
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Public Affairs & Communications content creation for public engagements and stakeholder engagements.
• Create and update community outreach lists including legislators and officials.
• Schedule meetings, track data, and assist with notes during community and stakeholder engagements.
• Conduct research and drafting of internal subject matter summaries, policy issues, and external op-eds or internal newsletters.
• Assemble and distribute the clips to company leadership twice per week on our media monitoring platform.
• Assist with digital and traditional communications, messaging campaigns, and political grassroots/advocacy campaigns.
