Job summary

Cinderlands Beer Co. in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a hands-on Staff Brewer/Cellar Person to join our production team on a full-time basis.

You will operate a 15 BBL brewhouse and manage cellar functions, brew on schedule, maintain records in Ekos, and collaborate across teams.

This role requires at least 10 BBL experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Professional production experience operating a brewhouse of at least 10 BBL.
• Proficiency across the full range of small‑brewery cellar functions: racking, CIP and sanitization, yeast harvesting and pitching, dry hopping, carbonation, brite- and lager‑tank management, gravity and sensory monitoring.
• Ability to learn Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Docs, Slack, and Ekos quickly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a commercial van or truck.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Mill grain; mash, boil, whirlpool, knock out, and chill wort.
• Follow Head Brewer's daily brew schedule, including double‑brew days.
• Brew to quantitative and sensory targets per recipes and SOPs.
• Rack beer between fermentors and brite tanks.
• Harvest and pitch yeast; dry hop.
• Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, fittings, and equipment.
• Monitor beer in tank by gravity and sensory evaluation.
• Manage carbonation, brite tanks, and lager tanks through handoff to packaging.
