Job summary

Barrel One Collective is hiring a Cellar Operator for our Boston production brewery. You will support brewhouse operations, fermentation management, filtration, and quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include milling, hopping, wort production, CIP, sanitation, yeast handling, gravity readings, filtration, and packaging support, while maintaining accurate logs and a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• 2+ years brewing or beverage manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of fermentation, sanitation, and filtration processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts in a production environment.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Execute brewhouse operations including milling, hop additions, and wort production.
• Perform CIP/CUP and sanitation of fermenters, brite tanks, and transfer lines.
• Manage yeast handling, pitching, cell counts, dry hopping, and gravity readings.
• Operate filtration systems and support pilot brewing.
• Monitor turbidity, CO₂, and O₂ levels to meet product specifications.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and logs.
• Support packaging and cross-functional production teams.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized workspaces.

Barrel One Collective, home to leading craft beer brands including Harpoon, is hiring an experienced Cellar Operator to join our Boston production brewery team. This role supports brewhouse operations, fermentation management, filtration, and quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
