Job summary

Mood Media in Fort Mill is seeking an Upfit and Repair Tech to handle in-house quality control and repair of AV equipment such as on-premise players, decks and receivers. You will review returns for usability and reparability and update the equipment database.

A basic knowledge of sound and video gear is required; electronic repair experience is desirable. Safe tool use and soldering skills are a plus in a climate-controlled workspace.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of sound and video equipment and electronic components.
• Electronic repair experience is desirable.
• General knowledge of safe use of hand and small power tools.

Responsibilities

• Physically inspect incoming equipment and compare to warranty info for repair status.
• Communicate with Manufacturer Help desks for warranty testing.
• Assess reparability and usable parts of incoming equipment.
• Perform timely repairs using hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Test repaired devices and ensure proper operation.
• Repackage and label repaired devices and update database.
• Conduct quality control checks and communicate repair status.
