Job summary
EPS Connects LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer focused on Automation & Advanced Processes in a Watertown-area facility. You will engage directly with operations, quality, and suppliers to optimize equipment performance and process reliability on the shop floor.
You will troubleshoot and improve CNC milling, robotics, vision systems, and heat-treatment processes, while developing tooling and fixtures using CAD/SolidWorks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.
- Hands-on manufacturing engineering, equipment troubleshooting, and process-improvement experience.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, CNC, robotics, machine vision, heat treatment, or PLC-controlled equipment.
Responsibilities
- Improve equipment performance, process reliability, quality and efficiency on the shop floor.
- Support vacuum heat-treatment processes including furnace programming and cycle development.
- Troubleshoot CNC milling and trimming, tooling, workholding, and alignment.
- Program and troubleshoot SCARA robots, bowl feeders, and automated equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot Keyence vision and camera inspection systems.
- Support automation like laser etching, electropolishing, passivation, cleaning and finishing.
- Diagnose problems and coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Analyze quality feedback and implement practical manufacturing improvements.
- Create SolidWorks models and 2D drawings for tooling and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, contractors and suppliers to resolve issues.
