Job summary

Krier Beverage is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to own the automation, electrical, and industrial technology systems that support our beverage production and aluminum canning operations. This position works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and outside equipment partners to keep production safe and efficient while developing reliable, scalable automation for future growth.

Qualifications

3+ years with industrial controls, automation, PLCs in manufacturing.
Hands-on PLC/HMI/SCADA troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Experience with Allen Bradley drives and servomotors.
Strong Excel, Word, and AutoCAD skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical resource for PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo, and control systems.
Optimize existing automation and electrical systems and retire legacy components.
Troubleshoot complex control systems across the facility.
Lead controls-related capital projects from requirements through startup and commissioning.
Communicate production issues to operations management.
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, and technical docs.
Provide off-hour support for critical production issues.
