Sherwood Valve, a Control Devices company, is seeking a hands-on Automation Controls Engineer to design, program, install, troubleshoot, and improve automation equipment across manufacturing operations. You will work directly with PLCs, HMIs, robotic cells, and production teams from concept through testing and ongoing support.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on PLC programming and industrial automation experience.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.

- Write, modify, and maintain PLC programs and ladder logic.
- Build and update HMI screens and alarms.
- Program and troubleshoot robots and automated equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and control issues on the production floor and implement corrective actions.
- Design and implement improvements to automated equipment and processes.
- Install, test, and validate automation systems and protocols.
- Create electrical schematics and maintenance documentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations to resolve issues.
