Job summary

Cornbread Hemp is seeking an Associate Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations under the direction of the Controller. This full-time, exempt role offers hands-on exposure to the full accounting cycle within a rapidly growing consumer brand.

You'll process transactions in Acumatica, assist with vendor invoicing, reconciliations, and internal controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting and sound business decisions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Excellent communication—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Review and process daily transactions in the ERP system (Acumatica).
• Review transactions for proper coding, completeness, and approvals.
• Enter vendor invoices and credit memos.
• Verify invoices against POs and receiving docs.
• Assist with vendor payment runs and processing approved payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor profile setups and company policy adherence.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and employee expenses.
• Investigate discrepancies between bank activity and Acumatica records.
