Job summary

Cornbread Hemp is seeking an Associate Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy across all accounting functions. You'll work closely with the Controller and Staff Accountant while collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide clear financial support and enable sound business decisions.

This on-site role is ideal for someone who wants growth within the accounting department and exposure to the full accounting cycle at a fast-growing consumer brand.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems; Acumatica preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong communication—written and verbal; interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Process daily transactions in the ERP system (Acumatica).
• Code transactions with proper accounts and approvals.
• Enter vendor invoices and credit memos.
• Verify invoices against POs and receiving docs.
• Assist with vendor payments and reconciliations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries about invoices/payments.
• Maintain vendor profiles per policy.
• Review and reconcile credit card transactions and employee expenses.
• Investigate discrepancies between bank activity and Acumatica.
• Maintain electronic accounting files and docs per procedures.
