Job summary

Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is seeking a hands-on Assistant Plant Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Chandler, Arizona facility. You will partner with the Plant Manager to set schedules, oversee 80+ associates, and drive improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.

This role focuses on floor leadership, KPI-driven decisions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize production and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5–7+ years manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years managerial experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team of 80+ employees.
• Strong MS Office and ERP proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; lead-from-front style.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day production operations on the plant floor.
• Build the production schedule with cross-functional partners based on forecast and materials.
• Manage production crews, activities, and resources to hit production goals.
• Own uptime and coordinate maintenance planning for equipment.
• Own the Quality Control process and KPIs for team and individuals.
• Track and report production quality results weekly with actions to improve.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and increase throughput.
• Monitor KPI performance across hours, throughput, downtime and efficiency.
