Barge Properties is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at The Midtown Temple community in Temple, TX. This full-time role involves assisting with apartment turns, preventative maintenance, service requests, grounds care, and general upkeep.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is reliable, and eager to learn. Prior experience in maintenance or related trades is helpful; strong customer service skills are valued for resident interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance operations throughout the property.
• Help complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Support routine and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready projects.
• Perform painting, cleaning, drywall repair, and minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with maintaining common areas, amenities, and property grounds.
• Help identify maintenance issues before they become larger repairs.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Support senior maintenance team members with larger projects and repairs.
• Assist with inventory organization and maintenance supplies as needed.
