Barge Properties Management Company is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and maintenance across our Temple, TX apartment communities.

The role involves hands-on tasks, preventative maintenance, work orders, and grounds upkeep. Ideal for those new to multifamily maintenance or with related trade experience, who value reliable teamwork and resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance operations throughout the property.
• Help complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Support routine and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready projects.
• Perform painting, cleaning, drywall repair, and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain common areas, amenities, and property grounds.
• Identify maintenance issues before they become larger repairs.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Support senior maintenance team members with larger projects and repairs.
• Assist with inventory organization and maintenance supplies as needed.
