Job summary

Finney Hospitality Group is hiring an Assistant Brewer for The Tap Brewery in Bloomington, Indiana. This full-time role involves working with the Head Brewer across brewing, fermentation, packaging, and quality control to ensure consistent beer production.

You will participate in wort production, monitor fermentation, and assist with kegging, sanitation, and inventory. The position values hands-on craft beer experience and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Previous professional brewing or cellar experience.
• Able to follow recipes, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Organized with accurate production records.
• Willing to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head Brewer on brewing and production.
• Assist wort production and brewhouse operations.
• Read and execute recipes and production specifications.
• Prepare, measure, and manage brewing ingredients and raw materials.
• Operate the mill and assist with grain preparation.
• Pitch and manage yeast according to brewery standards.
• Monitor fermentation and conditioning.
• Transfer beer between vessels and carbonate finished beer.
• Fill, clean, sanitize, and pressurize kegs; assist with packaging.
• Follow SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.
