Job summary

Laborup is seeking Assemblers to help build large equipment in a production manufacturing environment in Knoxville, TN. This hands-on role requires assembling mechanical parts, wiring, hoses, hydraulics, and accessories using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Ideal candidates come from construction or general labor backgrounds but it’s not required. The role is primarily on 2nd shift, full-time, direct hire, with pay at $19–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with care.
• Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning.
• Show good attention to detail in assembly tasks.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Be willing to work overtime when production needs require it.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulic components.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools and install accessories.
• Measure parts using tape measures and other basic tools.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Position and secure components during assembly.
• Operate an overhead crane when required.
• Move and handle parts and subassemblies.
• Cross-train in multiple production areas.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
