Job summary

GTE Financial is seeking an Applications Development Manager in Tampa to lead and actively contribute to the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications and integrations. The role blends hands-on coding with leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration across teams to deliver reliable solutions for members.

You’ll own coding, reviews, releases, and production support while guiding the team on SDLC, security, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; enterprise app development experience.
• Hands-on software development; able to design and review production code.
• Leadership or management experience with developers or contractors.
• Strong SDLC, architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, and secure practices.
• Experience with modern languages, frameworks, databases, APIs, and enterprise tools.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies and enterprise application environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage team responsibilities while contributing technically.

Responsibilities

• Personally design, develop, test, document, deploy, and support enterprise applications.
• Write, modify, troubleshoot, review production code; support releases.
• Lead and coach application developers; manage workload and delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
