Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality activities on the Santa Ana site and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. You will drive MRB, CAPA, inspections, and continuous improvement to meet stringent aerospace requirements.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the manufacturing floor, strong AS9100 experience, and a track record of solving complex manufacturing challenges in aerospace environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering/Management in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements and documentation.
• Experience with GD&T, inspection planning and NDT/NDE is a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Quality team for inspection, testing, and QA activities.
• Ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Develop QMS documentation, inspection and control plans, and procedures.
• Lead MRB activities, root cause analysis, and CAPA programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Support AS9100 certification maintenance and supplier quality programs.
• Prepare corrective action responses and customer communications.
• Monitor KPIs, perform data analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
