Job summary

Trueline in Glenpool, Oklahoma is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions. The role will manage general ledger, month-end close, job-level P&Ls, budgeting, payroll, AP/AR, and multi‑company accounting while partnering with Operations on project profitability.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong QBO and Excel skills, and the ability to explain financial results to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• GAAP-based monthly financial statements experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities, divisions, or lines of business.
• Experience recording intercompany transactions.
• Payroll experience across multi-state workforce.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
• High accuracy, discretion, organization, and follow-through.
• Role requires onsite work in Glenpool, OK (not remote).

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare job-level P&Ls and review project performance against estimates.
• Partner with Operations to investigate variances and explain profitability.
• Oversee accounting for multiple companies and intercompany transactions.
• Record, reconcile, and resolve intercompany transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and AP automation.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Support payroll processing and multi-state payroll reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Reconcile company credit cards and employee expenses.
• Provide information to external CPA firms and auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and efficiency.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
